Well, it only took a month...or six weeks. Yeah, we know. Sorry. We're getting back into the swing of things, with the next episode. We don't have any guests for this one, so it's just Jeremy and myself. We look at the longest segement of the book, Book 2, The Quest.

Awesome it's finally out! I was wondering what had happened to this!

I'm not in a position to be a guest at the moment, but I am re-reading Mattimeo right now, which is kind of neat! I'm excited to follow along with the podcasts

We're back again, just Jeremy and I. (We're still having scheduling and technical issues.)
We finally finish up with Redwall, and we're on to Mattimeo next! Looking for recording guests for this one.

Well, we had to get at least one book out of the way. Welcome back to episode 3, where we look at the third and final "book" of Redwall, The Warrior. Matthias remembers that oh yeah, giant horde, and finally gets his sword. Will he get back to Redwall in Time? How many horde members will Cluny sacrifice? Has anyone not really read this book before? Find out!

@IronBoomer: These are very well done! It's great to hear people talking about the series. I haven't gotten to listen to all of them yet, but I'd be willing to guest if you need it. I have no experience with podcasts, but I'm quite experienced with the books (of course).

Just finished listening to episode 3. I thought the bit about adding insult to injury when Matthias drops the bell on Cluny was pretty funny ;D

So at the end, you talk a little about what exactly you want to do next in the series. Have you guys figured it out yet or did I sort of zone out there?

The Mattimeo episode's been recorded, or at least book 1; we're doing quality control right now for editing.
After Mattimeo, the plan was to start back at the start of chronological order and go from there, unless a better ideas comes forward.

We jump to the direct sequel to Redwall, that picks up 8 seasons later with Matthias and his absolutely bratty son, and with a villian that we've totally never seen before. Nope. Slagar's completely new. Jeremy couldn't be with us for this episode, and we have returning regular guest Drew, and new guest Kayde.

Okay, episode 5 is in the upload queue as I write this, so look for that later today: but I need to ask a favor from the greater community.

We've currently got an intro segment for when we address "How anthropomorphic are they" made in all of five minutes by me over the thankfully public domain theme to Monty Python.

Folks, we'd like to reach out for community help for what will become our "Food Overload" intro.
We've tossed around a few ideas, but here's the kicker - it has to be original music ot lead in, or something that is safely in public domain.
My personal favorite idea is something similar to this:

Only with the word "Food" instead of Hello.

Suggestions are most welcome, folks.

=====================

And we're back. Apologies for the lateness, but Episode 6 is also recorded and being edited right now. We're going to do our first Food episode special next.

Quote
Back with the usual crew as well look at the 2nd of the three parts to this book; that introduces are primary B-plot for the story: General Ironbum- ... I mean, Ironbeak. Ambrose's insults are wearing off on me.
Will Matthias and the rest of the angry parents catch up to Slagar before Book 3? Will Sister May become the new drug dealer for Mossflower country? If you've never read it, come take a listen.

Perhaps it's too late for the feedback on episode 5? I have to play catch up with the most recent 2 episodes - I've only gotten through episode 4.

If you want something short, I think the Hello, hello, hello option is pretty cool! What about the annoying seagulls from finding nemo (MOI, MOI, MOI, MOI...)? although that's probably not public domain so...

I never mind any feedback, Captain, even if it's after the fact. :)
Oh, and we're doing a food episode next.

Well, that's two books down, and I think we're going to swing of things. It's the usual crew - Pete, Jeremy, Drew and Kayde, looking at the Redwall version of "Taken"
- Matthias will look for Slagar. Jess will find Slagar. And Orlando will wipe his axe free of the gore later. (Hey, it's described in the book)

Quote
We round out the final third of this book, watching the angry parents stick it to Slagar and our mysterious villain Malkariss and his fabulous right-hand Nadaz. I'm sure the angry parents and the red shirt shrews can defeat a massive cult army of rats. We also follow our B-plot where Sister May has a serious problem and Cornflower proves just as much a fighter as Matthias.
