I wonder where Mariel and Dandin sailed off to - maybe reached the equivalent of Ireland, or beyond?
My ears, how are you, wot!

I never thought Redwall was supposed to be equivalent to the real world. I always thought of it as an entirely different place, with completely different geography. However, that is just my opinion.

I agree!

Never thought of that! Maybe someone should write a fanfic about it!

I thought he was a Norway Rat.

I think that the belief in foreign lands in the world of Redwall is something for the reader to decide. If you use your imagination, you can head over to that world and see for yourself.

Did it say Cluny was a Porcanese (spelling?) rat? Or have I got that wrong?
i THINK so, not sure!! haven't read that one in a while!!
Oh, and Redwaller?? maybe he's a Portuguese bilge rat!!!! he can be both, RIGHT??? (you are supposed to right!!)

Redwaller

Actually, there's no such thing as a "portuguese bilge rat". And I take my information from a highly plausible place: A Brian Jacques Interview!
