What is a good book to start reading Rick Riordan? I'd rather not read Percy Jackson.

Well his only series that stands on its own aside from Percy Jackson is The Kane Chronicles. You could say Magnus Chase counts, but that has a lot of PJ references.

So yeah, The Kane Chronicles. The first book is The Red Pyramid.

I really hope I don't start shipping Magnus and Alex because then I'd ship Malec and Malex and that's too confusing for me. But who am I kidding? I'm definitely gonna end up shipping them.
