Lady Ashenwyte

Order an organised retreat to the Hangar Bay, and shoot anybody who flees. This is the Imperium, no cowardice will be tolerated.

"Hangar bay, NOW! Back rank, turn and retreat. Front rank, suppressing fire."
The Guardsmen continue to fire on the charging Orks, whose numbers thankfully seem to have thinned out slightly. Once the back rank of guardsmen has reached the intersection, they turn and fire on the Orks, allowing the front rank to make their own retreat. As you begin to back down the corridor that leads to the Hangar, the first Orks reach the front rank, tearing three Guardsmen to pieces. Two of the survivors manage to blast themselves clear and return to your group, albeit with several cuts and bruises, while the third runs straight past you for the hangar.
"Fuck this really bad stuff. Fuck you. Fuck those green fucks. I'm not dying he-"
One bullet is all it takes to silence the traitor, but the Orks are almost upon your seven survivors. You notice the Improvised Melta Grenade clipped to your belt. You could probably stop the charge, and make it to the Hangar with more guardsmen, but there's no telling what's in there.

Lady Ashenwyte

The ship is dead. Throw the melta grenade, and run to the Hangar with the survivors and fast.

You rip the improvised Melta grenade from your belt.
"really bad stuff. Improvised, weaker... How bad can it be?"
"..."
"Fuck me."
You blast the nearest Ork, set the timer on the canister to thirty seconds, and toss it into the mass of Orks.
"Run."
Surrounded by the survivors, you turn and sprint as fast as you can down the corridor, pursued by the mass of Orks. A guardsman is grabbed and torn in two by a large Ork, while another's head is blasted into chunks by a shooter you can't identify. You slam into the Hangar door and hit the switch to open it. Your surviving guardsmen manage to take out several Orks as they file into the Hangar and slam the door shut.
"Airlock sealed. Let's hope they don't get through before that grena-"
A nearby window is lit up by a huge orange flash, obviously the Melta grenade. Being so close to the ship's exterior, the blast tears a whole in the outside of the vessel, exposing the rest of the ship to the void.
"By the Emperor. All those people."
"Shut up, Tarrius. The ship was fucked anyway."
You turn around and get your first proper view of the hangar. Most of the Arvus Lighters have been shredded, or already left, and the few that do remain are severely damaged and overrun by Orks. A large force of Guardsmen are engaged with another group of Orks, that appear to have arrived in shuttles and Bommers of their own. Neither group has noticed you yet, but you won't be able to get near any of the Lighters without drawing attention. You take one last glance through the window, at the Ork ship embedded in the rear of the transport.
"You. Where is that Ork ship?"
"Engines. Surprised we lasted that long, Emperor knows I am."

Commandeer one of the Arvus Lighters, or failing that, a shuttle while leading your troops in a rear attack preferably from cover.

"See that wrecked Arvus? Take cover behind it. Ensure your rifles are topped up. We're getting off this ship."
The Guardsman known as Tarrius nods, reloading his weapon, as your entourage takes cover behind the wreck. A Guard picks the Las-Rifle from a fallen guard and hands it to you.
"Hey, boss. See that Big Guy? What do we do about him? That ain't a Warboss, is it?"
Tarrius shakes his head.
"Doesn't look like it. Big bastard though. That gun'd kill us all if we got his attention."

Order my men to stay in cover maintain a steady stream of fire on the Nob, while simultaneously challenging him to single combat.

"Stay here, don't move, and pump the bastard full of heat. I'll handle it."
The Guardsmen stare at you in dismay.
"Well?"
"Yeah, course, boss."
You step out of cover and shoot the side of the Nob's helmet with your autopistol. The large Ork whirls around, sending a smaller Ork flying.
"You and me, big guy!"
"Good! Liek Ork! Hav sum DAKKAAAAAA!"
The Nob's large weapon sprays numerous bullets in your direction, forcing you back behind cover. The ruined Arvus shudders from the amount of bullets hitting it.
"Might need another plan, boss."
A guardsman pokes his head out of cover to fire off a shot, but slumps to the ground missing half a skull.
"Are any of these shuttles intact?"
"Boss, we either take one of those Ork ships, or we fight our way through all of 'em to get to what's left of ours."
"Okay... And the ship's done for. Any way we can set it off and take these bastards with it?"
"Not from the hangar bay, I don't think. The Arvus's don't have guns, but the Ork ships might. The ship's engines are wrecked by that rammer, a couple shots in the right place'd bring her down. But that requires flying an Ork ship. Their ship's stuck pretty good. Even if we leave, they've got nowhere to go."
"Except the planet's surface in whatever dropships they can salvage. Even if they don't we were on approach orbit before they followed us out of the Warp. The ship'll hit the surface sooner or later, and my Thrones are on them surviving."
"really bad stuff, boss. You put it that way... We either blow up the engines with an Ork ship and risk getting caught in the blast, or we salvage two shuttles and one of us has to ram that bastard back."
"Can we get two shuttles?"
"Hard to say. With that fucker? I doubt it. He needs to go down, unless we want to go down with the ship."

#24
"We're taking that Fighta-Bommer, four o'clock."
"You know how to fly that thing, boss?"
"Not a clue."
"We better learn fast."
The Nob's snazzgun fire relents briefly, allowing you to take a few potshots with your las-rifle. You manage to blast the Nob's arm, causing him to drop the weapon. The rest of the Orks seem more focused on the main force of guardsmen, allowing your group to make a run for their ship. Just as you duck behind the Fighta-Bommer, the snazzgun starts up again, gibbing a guardsman, but shortly stops to avoid hitting the aircraft. Two Flyboyz emerge from the Bommer, brandishing assorted weapons, but are cut down by your troops. You file into the Bommer, executing another Flyboy, and slump into the pilot's "chair."
"Alright, you... Tarrius. Bomb bay."
The guard salutes briefly before shuffling off. Another guard slumps into the co-pilot seat, while your last lackey primes one of the deffguns attached to the aircraft. You manage to find the engine startup switch and turn the Fighta-Bommer's engines on. Your co-pilot shoves the rudder hard to the left while the aircraft's mounted deffgun begins to rip into the Nob. Snazzgun bullets rip through the hull, but you manage to take off, and the Fighta-Bommer shoots out of the Hangar, Deffgun still trained on the Nob. The co-pilot rips the rudder hard to the right, causing the Bommer to turn around, heading for the engines. The Deffgun operator destroys the occasional Ork Fighta, but you manage to reach the engines without any complications.
"Tarrius!"
"Boss?"
"Those missiles, send them off!"
"On it!"
Two ramshackle explosives strapped with rocket boosters shoot out of the Fighta-Bommer and slam into the engine's of the transport, as the guardsman swings the Ork craft around and aims it for the planet.
"Hope this thing can survive re-entry."
You glance behind you as two large explosions rock the engines of the Carrack-class, shortly followed by another massive fireball. The Ork ram ship is engulfed by the explosion, which rocks the entire transport. The shockwave slams into the Fighta-Bommer, flinging it towards the surface of Sahrafin. The craft manages to stay intact as it enters the atmosphere, shooting past the upper reaches of a Hive City. Tarrius and the gunner clamber into the cockpit as you desperately try to turn the Bommer around. Between the two of you, you and the co-pilot are able to twist the rudder hard to left and send the Bommer back towards the Hive City. The co-pilot tries to cut the throttle to the craft, causing one of the engines to tear itself from the wing and spiral groundward. You manage to slow the Bommer slightly, aiming it towards the hive's nearest dock. The Bommer slams into the hive, wings being torn off instantly as the Bommer goes into a roll. The wrecked craft sends sparks flying as it scrapes along the floor of the dock, finally coming to a stop by slamming into a wall. You crawl from the wreck, closely followed by Tarrius and the gunner, who is bleeding from the forehead. You limp over to the front of the Bommer, where the co-pilot's corpse hangs outside the windshield. The gunner rubs his forehead, groaning, as you straighten yourself out.
"Rough landing, boss."
"No [weasel]."
You turn to the speaker, a member of the Planetary Defence Force, who points a shotgun at your group.
"Mind telling us who the [toad] you are and why you showed up in an Ork ship?"
You rip your identification documents from your coat and shove it in the guard's face.
"Astilan Furtis, Acolyte of the Emperor's Inquisition. By the power vested in me by the Emperor of Mankind, I commandeered that ship when the greenskinned [fox]s destroyed the inbound transport you probably just saw go up in flames."
The guard stands down.
"My apologies, Acolyte, but I'm under strict orders from the Korz Office of the Inquisition to search any Inquisitors and Acolytes that arrive on Sahrafin."
"Fine, get on with it."
You allow the guard to inspect your possessions, and he takes interest in the datapad containing your Orders.
"That machine spirit doesn't seem happy... Anyway, that's it. You're good to go."
The guard hands you the datapad, now unlocked, and disappears into the crowd. You tuck the datapad back into your coat and take in your surroundings. Somebody has set up a stand in one corner of the hangar, and appears to be selling assorted wares, while numerous PDF officers guard an elevator in the center of the far wall. All around the hangar, crowds come and go through a variety of lifts, tunnels, and trains.

"What do we know?"
"Come with me. The office of the Inquisition should know what to do with you."
You soon reach the stand, the owner of which eyes the two guards nervously.
"Something you need, sirs?"
"Show me your stock. And tell me what's been going on here."
"Recent happening on Sahrafin? Well, outside Hive Zakara there's a bloody war going on, Xenos of some kind. Within these walls, there's been disappearances in the Underhive, and something bad's going on topside."
"Explain."
"I wouldn't know what's going on, sirs, but the Governor and the entire planetary government is dead, along with almost everyone in the Inquisitorial Office. And just now, an inbound ship explodes in the sky."
"Tough times."
"Don't you know it. Ships leaving the planet are crowded to burst. Sorry, were crowded. After the government got wiped out, Arbites stopped all outbound traffic. We're stuck here, and the fools on that ship got off lucky."
"I see. Show me your stock."
"Don't have much, sir."
