I feel ya. I narrowly escaped a similar plight this evening. Luckily I have an eye infection that might be pink eye, so I couldn't go. Last time I babysat those two little girls they were running around all over the place, and then the 7 year old put in some Katy Perry biography while I was dealing with her sister. When I came out she was entrancing watching Katy Perry sing "California Girls." Not my best babysitting moment. :P
Yikes! Lol, I had to babysit today by myself and couldn't figure out why the one-year-old was crying every so often. Her mom picked her up when she got home and immediately went, "Oh, looks like you've got a full diaper!" *Faceplam* Or there was the time when I turned around for one second and came back to discover that the six-year-old had drawn all over her Barbie doll with black crayon that WOULDN'T COME OFF, or the same girl playing with her bouncy putty while I was cooking dinner and dropping the putty in the hot stove, effectively burning it and making a lot of smelly smoke. :P

I found out recently about the fact that Cole from Dragon Age has a book about his past (Dragon Age: Asunder), so I read the summary and was really intrigued with the storyline. But, of course, my library doesn't have it. I tried looking for a PDF online, but all the ones I found were pretty much just ads. Finally, I resorted to going to YouTube and looking for an audio version of the book, which I don't normally do as I have an extremely hard time paying attention to people speaking. I found one video series of a girl reading the book a chapter at a time and was really excited, so I listened to the first two chapters yesterday and the third just now. THEN I REALIZED THAT SHE STOPPED READING IT AFTER CHAPTER THREE. Now I'm really irritated. I guess my last hope now is that I get an Amazon card for my birthday so I can get the E-book. *Groans* I hate it when libraries don't have the books you want.

Hai. Whenever I have a cold, I can't remember being able to breathe out of my nostrils. Once I'm free of the illness, though, I forget to cherish that wonderful feeling. :P
But with headaches, I don't really know what it's like to be without one. I'm not sure I've ever been without a headache. It's just kind of a constant thing for me. Sometimes it's bad, other times it's just kinda meh, but my head always hurts. Frustrating, but I've gotten used to it. Ish.

I mean, I hate the templars with all my guts, and I think the mages should be at least a teensy bit more free than the Lord Seeker wants them to be (seriously, if that guy had his way, every single mage would either be a Tranquil or they'd be dead), buuuuuuuuuuuut I really like the templar storyline. I mean, yeah, cool, time travel if you choose the mages, but getting locked inside your own mind and having to try and figure out how to escape before Envy learns how to mimic you? That's just awesome right there. Plus, y'know, teaming up with Cole is awesome. Don't get me wrong, Dorian's awesome, too, but Cole is way cooler than him.

Well, I wouldn't kill all of them. I mean, not all templars are bad. Just look at Evangeline! She may have seemed like an ordinary soldier at first, but she turned out to be quite kind.
On the other hand, not all mages are good. Alexius was a stupid, evil mage. Adrian thought she was helping the mages, but I don't think she helped all that much. Even Wynne resorted to forbidden magic at one point, and she tried to use it on both Evangeline and Cole!
So, yeah, not all templars should be killed, but not all the mages are free of guilt, either.
And I don't like Grand Enchanter Fiona. She shouldn't have submitted to Alexius so easily.

Okay, sorry, I just looked at that part in the book and I may be wrong. I thought I read that Wynne used forbidden magic, but it was actually Evangeline just saying that her staff was evil. Not sure if that's the same thing or not...

Not sure if "evil" and "dark" is the same as "forbidden", but that's what I thought it'd said. Apparently I was wrong. :P

Ooooohhhh, okay, that makes sense... I think. :P Eh, I'll probably not worry too much about it. I worry more about trying to kill dragons than most other things. Seriously, with my level 14 rogue I STILL couldn't defeat the dragon in the Hinterlands. But I didn't really like dual-wielding as much as I thought I would, so I restarted as a mage. Maybe going through as a long-ranged character'll make it a bit easier.

Just had a series of very strange dreams.
Were they related to each other, or arranged independently? By the way, I just won.
They were technically related, but only in that they transitioned from one story to another. From what I can remember, we started out with my family being in a really big house, I think getting ready for a trip or something, and in the midst of this, searching for our dog Tucker (who died several years ago)... somehow that turned out into Scotland winning a war of independence against England/Britain (I use the slash because there were two queens, one of Britain, one of England). I think I must have been the winning general or something, because I remember talking to the queens, and I had a prominent place in the parade. Then, in the post-victory celebrations (in a big structure, like a mall) a younger (about 12) girl I know was playing, and fell and was seriously injured... I was trying to call her father, but every phone I got, until the end of the dream, didn't work for some reason. Finally I made the call, and started going back to where the accident had happened to see what was going on, and not long after that I think I woke up.
That's definitely... something. :P (I woulda come back with an "Oh, yeah, I had a dream one time where...", but I don't remember most of my dreams. :P)

(Seriously, I have three clarinets (well, technically I have one, but my brother's two are basically mine as well), and now all three of them are broken. One can't play the G#/Ab above middle C (that's the one I have to use now), one has split cork and can't play below middle C or above the register key (that's the one I just broke), and one just can't play at all (it has a bunch of things that are messed up with it). My clarinets are terrible. I want a new one. WHY CAN'T ADVANCED CLARINETS BE CHEAP?!?!)

Yeah, my mom called around and found out that my band teacher's daughter has cork, so she can fix it on Thursday. Then, this next Friday, my brother's friend from band (they played trumpet together) said he could take my brother's two clarinets (the two that are actually entire clarinets (a Bundy and a Pruefer, if I remember correctly), not random parts from different companies that are just stuck together) and fix them for me.
That clarinet (the Bundy) can't play below middle C because of the missing cork. I don't know much about the inner workings of clarinets, but I'd assume it has something to do with the fact that a lot of air is escaping through the cracks, making it impossible to play notes that require the lower joint.
What do you mean, "clarinets can play both clefs"? Did you mean "clef", "octave", or something else? Because Bb clarinets (the type I play) are treble clef instruments, as well as Eb, but bass clarinets play the bass clef. Bb clarinets have a wide range, though. At least on my beginner I can go from low E (the E below middle C) to high F (the F above high C (also known as the note that I can never recognize because it's hiding waaaaayyyyy up in the rafters of the staff :P)). Granted, high F (or is it double high F? I can never remember) sounds hideous because, well, I have a beginner clarinet, but I can still hit it with relative ease.

It's still a really interesting story (and the sequel film to the series, Conqueror of Shamballa, is amazing), which is why I suggest watching both the original and Brotherhood. Plus the fact that you can never get too much Ed and Al. Those brothers are fantastic.

I win because not only did the dishwasher break yesterday and the fridge last night, but the chain for the chandelier hanging over the dining room table (where I'm at currently) snapped, so now the chandelier's being held up by its cord until my dad gets home and is able to figure out how to take it down. (The ceiling for the living/dining room is about thirteen feet at its highest, and guess where the chandelier's located!) We had to move the table over by a couple of feet so that if the chandelier fell, it wouldn't break the table (this table is about a hundred years old and is in bad enough shape as it is, so we don't really want it to get busted ;)).

I win because I promised I'd start writing the next Mafia II post over the weekend, but I've been busy and keep forgetting to, and now it's nearly six o'clock in the evening and I don't want to start now because I wouldn't be able to finish tonight and that would bug me and this is a run-on sentence but I don't really wanna stop this train while it's still going so I'll start talking about how I'm going to a party on Friday for all of my music program's alumni and everyone sixteen years and older and it's gonna be so fun to see all these people I haven't been able to see for a long time and we might be having a bonfire or something because we're holding the party at a ranch (my band director's house) and I really hope I get to see my buddies who I played bass guitar with a couple years ago 'cause they both are alumni and they might be coming and that would be so cool 'cause I've missed hanging out with them and I also want to see a guy who I hung out with before choir who just graduated this year and might not be coming back because I discovered that he has played Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II and he actually recognized some of the characters I was drawing one day so we were talking about it and I found out that he's really fun to talk to and he was telling me what some of the different endings are for Dragon Age II and explaining how to stop certain companions from leaving and then I totally surprised him when I said that I got a mabari and he was like "THERE'S A MABARI IN THIS GAME" and I'm like "lol yep and I have no idea why I got it the second time through but not the first time through" and we chatted about which companions we romanced and he laughed his head off when I talked about how exasperating the Fenris romance can be and we both raged over Isabela's frustrating treachery and had a good time so I hope I get to see him there and yeah I think I'm gonna end this now 'cause I wanna go eat my dinner so bye.

I win because Cole is absolutely adorable in the Trespasser DLC. He just seems so... human. Which he is, now, so that's cool that they actually changed how he acted a bit to fit how he is now. He understands the world better, and is just now starting to learn how to use a filter for his mouth. (It was hilarious; he said something embarrassing in front of the group, then said, "Wait, I shouldn't say that. Forget. Oh, that doesn't work anymore... Forget?" (He used to be able to make people forget what he's said by simply saying "Forget", but since becoming human, he can no longer do that. Now every hilariously awkward thing he says is forever remembered by everyone else in the party. ;D))
Also, Cole's starting to make friends. That is extremely important to me. I just wish they would bring in Rhys and Evangeline and let the three of them have a wonderful reunion and talk about all their adventures. That's be awesome.

I win because my Inquisitor looked hilarious when she went to the opera with Josie. She looked positively bewildered at the end of it; mouth slightly open, raised eyebrows, wide eyes, and just kinda... staring at the stage. It's hilarious, taking a Dalish elf to an Orlesian opera. ;D But at least Josie got a night off with a friend. :3
Also, the DLC actually made me kinda like Vivienne. Before, we were just sorta acquaintances, 'cause I did her personal quest, but I didn't make an effort to be her friend at all, but she took Kestrel (my Inquisitor) to the spa before the Exalted Council, and she was very sweet and respectful. She even tried comforting Kes over the loss of Solas (her boyfriend), even though she didn't really like him too much. To be honest, I didn't even realize that side of Vivienne existed. I'm happy it does, though; she can be really kind when she wants to.

Dragon Age: Inquisition. Specifically, the DLC that came out on Tuesday that's supposed to be the actual end of the game. It takes place two years after the original game itself, and you get to catch up with all your companions before starting all the action. With Cole, you find out that he's got a girlfriend, Sera throws pies at nobles with you, then wants you to become a Red Jenny (she's part of a group called the Friends of Red Jenny), you find out that it's the Iron Bull's birthday, you go to the opera with Josephine, meet Cullen's new dog, have a good long chat with Thom, go to the spa with Vivienne, get a house in Kirkwall from Varric, laugh over the fact that Cassandra thinks you're proposing to someone, you discover that Dorian's leaving for Tevinter permanently (but he gives you a cellphone crystal thing to talk to him, so all's good there), and I can't remember for the life of me what you do with Leliana.
...There's a lot of catching up to do with your friends. I spent an entire hour just talking to all of them.

Nooooooooot exactly. It's an RPG (roleplaying game), full of swords, magic, dragons, armies, and just generally a lot of violence and politics. And wandering around in search of that stupid golden halla that you need to get back to the Dalish without accidentally chasing it into the river. I was merely speaking of the interacting bits where you talk to all your companions. See, that's one thing about the
Dragon Age series: the story isn't entirely about you. It's also about everyone around you, which I really like. I love games where you form relationships with other characters, and you get to see their stories unfold as well as your own. It makes for a much more interesting and in-depth game, in my opinion.
In other news, I finished
Trespasser today. Apparently, Kestrel has a crossbow in place of her arm, now. That's pretty awesome. ;D

Oh. That's no good, 'cuz I axed that one. I thought it'd be better to condense things, and it didn't make the cut in the three final weapons I had.
Right now, I'm thinking of three basic types of weapons on the player ship -- the gun/peashooter, which can be charged up, with of course greater energy cost. A grenade weapon that can also be deployed as a mine. And homing missiles (I haven't figured out a clever secondary option for those yet).
Well, I'm sure you will be able to come up with something even more amazing :)

That's disgusting. I don't know why here I keep hearing such nasty things said about cats. To even half-heartedly say, and reply, regardless of whether it was someone you know or someone they know, etc. - especially surprising from a forum about animals - about such things I cannot understand because it's all _animal cruelty_. One of the most abhorrent things in the world. I also don't get why CRUELTY is suddenly nothing much to people if it's a cat. An animal with a soul, capable of being one of the most loving animals around, and clearly much misunderstood by some truly ignorant, despicable people out there. I hear too much about cruelty being done and I only wish these people would get a taste of their own medicine. Not just cats, cruelty to other animals is never something light-hearted!
