Marvel is villainizing the Tolkien Universe, think about it...

Dreams, dreams are untapped and writhing. How much more real are dreams than that paltry existence which we now call reality? How shall we ascend to that which humanity is destined? By mastering the dreamworld of course. That is how, my pupils, that is how.

"Understood." Will looked at Nico. "Will you be my buddy?"

How good was the acting in Ragnarok?

A little bit spotty in places, but overall solid. Mark Ruffalo was the standout performance for me.

Yeah, it was a really fun movie!  There were some things I didn't like, though.  While a lot of it was legitimately hilarious, there were several times where it was too humorous.  There'd be an emotional and dramatic scene, but just when I'd be getting into the drama of the moment, the movie would suddenly seem to remember that it was supposed to be a "comedy" and there would suddenly be a silly quip to ruin the tension.  It's kind of a bummer, since I would've loved to see more emotional brotherly stuff with Loki and Thor.

Also, I'm really upset that the Warriors Three died so quickly and lamely.  Volstagg and Fandral especially deserved better! :(  Also, where was Sif?  I know that Jaimie Alexander has other projects to work on, but couldn't they have at least mentioned her?  I guess the one good thing about her absence is that she isn't confirmed dead like her friends.

That and the sometimes-excessive comedy are my main problems with the movie.  Otherwise, it was really good.  Loki was as awesome as ever, Korg was hilarious, Heimdall kicked butt, and Valkyrie was a really fascinating character.  (Still wish she and Loki had gotten together....)

Still shocked that Thor lost an eye, though!  That was the last thing I expected, what with the leaked IW footage and all.

Also, I didn't think about this until I surfed the web later, but Loki definitely took the Tesseract after that one scene cut away.  Gah, I can't wait for Infinity War!
