Welcome to my little antology of random poetry! Sit down as I write down some of the most blah-blah-blah word scribble I've ever written.
(Of course some of them may have emotion.)

#1:
Hello dear 2016,
You are full of excitement
Celebrations here and there
We just have to go wherever.
Memories that I am excited about
Oh, 2016 for laughing out loud.

#2:
Take that, 2016!
Not one of that libertine!
Dark Forest Gates' swishing,
Ready to grab without warning.
First, the great music-man,
Then the veteran comedian,*
Now, the Snape, Alan Rickman.
How merciless Death is!
That sly abducter he is!
He doesn't even care,
He just takes with a snare.
Take that, 2016!
Not one of that libertine!

*Refers to the Philippine veteran comedian German Moreno, who died last January 8.

#3:
"Sense and Insensibility" (written for our class paper during high school days)

They hear, but do not listen
They know, but never understand
They watch but they cannot see
They touch, but never feel

Why blind people cannot understand
Why the dumb cannot listen,
Why can't the deaf feel anything?
Why is our generation like this?

It's either we went forward
Or the other way around
We may need but never want it,
Or maybe what we want, we always get.

You can read this but never understand
And I understand the reason why
But I'm telling you something
And I think you're not listening.

Pancakes --
Feels like heaven
Smells like heaven
Tastes like heaven

Every time I eat them --
Smells like heaven
Tastes like heaven
Feels like heaven

Very nice! My favorite is number three, quite thought-provoking.

Thanks, MatthiasMan, for the avatar!

*Claps* Very nice! I don't generally like poetry, but your's is nice. I'm with Skyie here - 3 is my favorite also.

Thankies! The number three was quite a challenge for me but was worth the effort. I'm glad I finally revived it after some years of neglect...
