It has been a difficult year for us all but we are forging ahead and thank you all for your loyalty.

Good news arrived at Redwall office this week. We received a letter from Lancashire County Council informing us that Brian has been included in a commemorative book celebrating 25 years of the Council’s Book of the Year Award. This is the longest running regional book award in the United Kingdom and we are delighted that Brian has been included in their celebrations.

Throughout the 25 years of its existence Brian is the only author to have been awarded the title three times chosen exclusively by young people across the county. Redwall 1988, Mattimeo 1991 and 1993 for Salamandastron. As a result of this copies of the commemorative book are being sent to each high school library in Lancashire to encourage wider reading.
